Talents

Talent CP Prerequisites
Portent 5 Spellbook
Expert Divination 20 3rd Level Spells and Portent
The Third Eye 30 5th Level Spells and Expert Divination
Greater Portent 50 7th Level Spells and The Third Eye

Portent

Cost: 5 Character Points
Prerequisite: Spellbook Talent

Your dreams provide a glimpse of future possibility. When you finish a long rest, roll two d20s and record these numbers. These rolls become your foretelling dice. At the end of a creature’s turn as a free action, you can expend one of your foretelling die to replace any one attack roll, skill check or defence check made by that creature. The creature treats the results of all dice rolled as part of that check, as though they had rolled the number on your foretelling die.

Each foretelling roll can be used only once. When you finish a long rest, you lose any unused foretelling rolls.

Expert Divination

Cost: 20 Character Points
Prerequisite: 3rd Level Spells and Portent

Casting divination spells comes so easily to you that it expends only a fraction of your spellcasting efforts. When you cast a divination spell using two or more mana, you may regain mana equal to the amount of mana expended minus one. The amount of mana recovered cannot exceed five.

The Third Eye

Cost: 30 Character Points
Actions: 1
Prerequisite: 5th Level Spells and Expert Divination

You can increase your powers of perception, choosing one of the following benefits. The effect lasts until you are incapacitated, or you take a short or long rest. You can’t use the feature again until you finish a short or long rest.

  • Darkvision: You gain darkvision out to a range of 60 feet. If you already have darkvision, its range is increased by 60 feet.
  • Ethereal Sight: You can see into the Ethereal Plane within 60 feet of you.
  • Greater Comprehension: You can read any language.
  • See Invisibility: You can see invisible creatures and objects within 10 feet of you that are within line of sight.

Greater Portent

Cost: 50 Character Points
Prerequisite: 7th Level Spells and The Third Eye

The visions in your dreams intensify and paint a more accurate picture in your mind of what is to come. You roll three d20s for your Portent feature, rather than two.
