War

War has many manifestations. It can make heroes of ordinary people. It can be desperate and horrific, with acts of cruelty and cowardice eclipsing instances of excellence and courage. In either case, the gods of war watch over warriors and reward them for their great deeds. The clerics of such gods excel in battle, inspiring others to fight the good fight or offering acts of violence as prayers. Gods of war include champions of honor and chivalry as well as gods of destruction and pillage and gods of conquest and domination.

Branch Spells

Once you can cast spells of the corresponding level, you may spend character points equal to twice the spell’s level to have that spell always prepared. Spells bought in this manner don’t count against the number of spells that you can prepare.

If you have a branch spell that doesn’t appear on the Divine Spell List, that spell is nevertheless a divine spell for you.

War Priest

Cost: 5 Character Points

Your god blesses you with an additional fanaticism while strike your enemies.

When you take the Strike action, you gain a bounus to the damage roll with weapon attacks equal to your martial feat die.

You can use this ability a number of times equal to your spellcasting attribute modifier. You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Guided Strike

Prerequisite: Channel Divinity and War Priest

Your diety grants supernatural accuracy to your strikes.

When you would roll to hit for an attack, you can instead use your Channel Divinity to take 20 for the attack roll.

War God’s Blessing

Cost: 20 Character Points
Prerequisite: 3rd Level Spells and Guided Strike
Actions: Free

You grant the inspiration of your deity to an ally’s strikes.

On your turn you can use your Channel Divinity to grant a creature within 30 feet of you the ability to take 20 on their next attack roll, instead of rolling to hit.

Avatar of Battle

Cost: 80 Character Points
Prerequisite: 8th Level Spells and War God’s Blessing

Your faith shields you, allowing you to stand strong against many attacks.

You are resistant to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from non-magical attacks.
